Synopsis “The truth about Marika” (Sanningen om Marika)
Marika disappears without a trace. When the case, after two years, reopens there is no evidence that she ever existed. 20 000 Swedish citizens have vanished and Marika is one of them. Why? What is the truth about Marika?

The case of Marika draws attention right before the drama series premieres on TV. A young woman finds out that SVT is making drama based on her blog, and she claims that everything is based on the disappearance of her best friend. SVT denies any part of this accusation and declare that the woman has made everything up, it’s fiction. But the woman proves the contrary even though all traces have been erased. The case becomes a mystery.

This is a “participation drama”, created to enrich a drama production through the participation of viewers. The story takes place on television, the Internet, radio and mobile phones. Every week theories are discussed on a TV-show that in the end expose the truth about Marika. Viewers are directly involved in the plot and its conclusion. The mobile phones become an important tool in the twilight zone between fiction and reality, and bring the story to the streets into a fiction without limits.

Per le vacanze di Natale Current TV presenta al suo pubblico il meglio delle produzioni indipendenti nazionali e internazionali. Si parte con la puntata pilota de “Il Quarto Sesso”, una fiction surreale e dal contenuto graffiante (24 Dicembre alle ore 21:00). Segue “Torno Subito”, una produzione indipendente celebre per il fatto di essere stata distribuita su Internet (25 Dicembre alle ore 21:00). A completare la triade c’è “The Beirut Apartment” che apre una finestra sulla vita della comunità omosessuale in Libano (26 Dicembre alle ore 21:00).

<<Researchers from Japan’s ATR Computational Neuroscience Laboratories have developed new brain analysis technology that can reconstruct the images inside a person’s mind and display them on a computer monitor, it was announced on December 11. According to the researchers, further development of the technology may soon make it possible to view other people’s dreams while they sleep.

The scientists were able to reconstruct various images viewed by a person by analyzing changes in their cerebral blood flow. Using a functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) machine, the researchers first mapped the blood flow changes that occurred in the cerebral visual cortex as subjects viewed various images held in front of their eyes. Subjects were shown 400 random 10 x 10 pixel black-and-white images for a period of 12 seconds each. While the fMRI machine monitored the changes in brain activity, a computer crunched the data and learned to associate the various changes in brain activity with the different image designs.

Then, when the test subjects were shown a completely new set of images, such as the letters N-E-U-R-O-N, the system was able to reconstruct and display what the test subjects were viewing based solely on their brain activity.>>

NewTeeVee Live Il prossimo 13 Novembre sarò a San Francisco per quella che ritengo la più interessante conferenza sui temi NET+TV di quest’anno. Tra gli speaker d’eccellenza Anthony E. Zuiker (Creator and Executive Producer, “CSI: Franchise”), Jesse Alexander (Writer, Producer, “HEROES”), Reed Hastings (CEO, Netflix), Jason Kilar (CEO, Hulu), Alexis Rapo (VP, Digital Media, Disney-ABC Television Group), Hardie Tankersley (VP Online Content & Strategy, FOX Broadcasting), Blake Krikorian (CEO, Sling Media), Bill Gannon (Director of Online Operations, Lucasfilm), Ben Ling (Director of Platforms and Syndication, YouTube), Miles Beckett (CEO, EQAL), Xeni Jardin (Host and Executive Producer, “Boing Boing”). Insomma niente male per una conferenza ultra compressa dalla durata di un giorno.

Fateci votare anche a noi.

Questa notte, 4 novembre 08, si compirà l’epilogo della campagna elettorale più seguita dalla nostra generazione. Il momento storico è di quelli importanti e mai come questa volta è stato possibile seguire tutta la marcia verso la presidenza degli Stati Uniti d’America, un lungo percorso che ha interessato le nuove generazioni di tutto il mondo costantemente commentato da centinaia di blog e molto spesso trasmesso in diretta su Internet.

La sensazione che abbiamo noi qui dall’Italia è, questa volta, strana: sappiamo quanto importante sarà per noi questa elezione, e non solo in chiave politica ma più in generale per la speranza di un reale cambiamento che possa travolgere anche la nostra classe dirigente partendo proprio dal basso, dalla gente. La sensazione che abbiamo noi qui dall’Italia è che questa sia un’elezione fondamentale anche per noi che non possiamo però influenzare, non possiamo partecipare, non posiamo votare.

Fateci votare anche a noi, sembrano voler dire tutti i più attivi partecipanti a questa discussione globale, vogliamo far sentire la nostra voce.

Ed è quello che cercheremo di fare questa notte su Current, con una doppia diretta NET+TV. Su SKY 130 partiremo alle 21 con una lunga ed esclusiva sequenza di appuntamenti che ci faranno capire quanto è successo negli ultimi 18 mesi da punti di vista completamente differenti rispetto a quelli che si è abituati ad avere dai media tradizionali. Alle 00:30 partirà quindi la diretta TV e la diretta su LIVE.CURRENT.COM con oltre 50 ospiti collegati da tutto il mondo. Avremo un presidio permanente tra gli studenti americani a Roma ed uno al Consolato USA di Milano e in più un feed in diretta dagli Stati Uniti con in tempo reale tutti gli exit poll.

Ma la vera novità sarà la possibilità data a tutti quelli che vorranno essere presenti online di interagire con le dirette NET+TV. Tramite Twitter e Digg con cui Current ha stretto una partnership per questo evento, ma anche grazie a SKYPE, ai video commenti e alla chat che avremo sempre attiva per portare le opinioni di chi seguirà l’evento direttamente dentro le dirette.

Sarà un modo completamente nuovo per seguire uno dei più importanti eventi dell’era moderna. Spero saremo in molti a poterlo condividere.
